Marilee Lasch
"I was born and raised in a Catholic, farmers family in Jamestown, ND. I was 7th of 8 children.

While I appreciated the ethics with which I was raised, I always felt and saw things more intensely and differently, which seemed to single me out as "wierd".

I grew up feeling like a purple horse trying to make it in a field of brown horses. This sensation went with me into adulthood and my only respite from this isolated feeling would happen when I was creating. Not having had any formal art education, even in school, my attentions were directed to decorating interior spaces which seemed to keep my restlessness at bay.

At the age of 42 I took my first art class, and it was at this time that I had the sensation that I had come "home" and was allowed to have a voice. While I continue to work as an Interior Designer ( presently for Home Depot ) my creative muse is no longer satisfied with that, so I have opened the door to her so that she can flow thru me.

I love to create bright colored market scenes in oil, play with glass beads, but most of all I am passionate about spirit masks where I truly feel the sensation of being led by the spirit. VIVO PER LEI"
